Here it is, then: you don’t need anyone else’s permission.

You don’t need permission to pursue your passion.

You don’t need permission to try something new.

You don’t need permission to be who you’re meant to be.

The only person you need permission from is you.

Yes, it’s great to have a tribe who supports you. Yes, it would be wonderful if your spouse did the same, or your parents, or your kids. But ultimately you are the only one responsible for what you do with your one life.

The only permission you need to sign up for that dance class, buy the pottery wheel and give it a go, learn French, change your career or change your major, is your own.

The only person you need to give you permission to change your life, is yourself.

So, why not give yourself permission?
