You know what I wish?

I wish that the world was filled – that your world was filled – with people who cheer you on and tell you how amazing you really are. People who are so comfortable in their own skin that they have nothing to lose by celebrating your victories and uniqueness. I wish that the world – that your world – was chock full of positivity and encouragement and people who build each other up always.

But the world isn’t like that, and we all know it.

They say that the tribe you surround yourself with is important to your success, happiness, and overall well-being.

Jim Rohn put it this way: “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.”

I’m not sure if that’s statistically true, but I do know that the people around you have an enormous influence on your life. There’s a world of difference between the friend who tells you that she believes in you and the one who points out all the ways your new venture could go wrong.

It can be hard to keep your chin up and your head down and do your work and work for your dream.“Believe you can and you’re halfway there.” (~Theodore Roosevelt)

But you can do it. You know you can.

I know you can.

Even if no one else seems to know it, see it, feel it, or believe it. You know you have it in you.

I know you have it in you.

Because you’re amazing.

Now, go show the world.
