Yeah, so maybe it really is okay to just be…you.
To think the way you think, and feel the way you feel.
To believe what you really believe, and be as brave as you really are.
To let your soul fill with passion with what really fills it, and let yourself create, act, do, participate in the dance of life.
To let your heart swell with compassion for what speaks to it, and let yourself act, help, fill a need or join a cause or pray, the way you pray.
Maybe it really is okay to just be you.
With the size of your hips and the shape of your nose.
With that laugh of yours and that mane of frizzy or straight or somewhere in between – and maybe those curls don’t really need straightening at all but are really beautiful just the way they are?
Maybe you’re really beautiful just the way you are.
You with the shy smile and the shy ways.
You with the extra helping of boisterous.
You being quiet and thinking long, or you who jumps in and takes the trip on the spur of the moment.
Maybe it’s okay not to follow anyone else’s rules for how to be, but to just be who you were created to be.
Maybe you being who you were made to be is really you giving birth to the dream of the Divine, who made you in the first place?
Yeah, that sounds about right.
You, dream of the Divine.
You, just the way you are.
You, being you.
It’s really okay.
