There’s so much going on in the world, but hey, you don’t need me to tell you that. You know it already.

You probably also know that this year – everything about this year – is taking a toll on lots of folks. And yes, it’s life and life is never easy, and I get that, I really do.

But honest? 2020?

Well, just…there are no words.

But the sun still gets up in the morning and the birds still sing in the trees and my garden’s even got a few spears of asparagus still and so yes. God is still good, if I really choose to see.

Sometimes and some days and some years, even, it’s hard to see.

Those are the times when we most need to see.

Those are the days and the years and the moments when focus can change you.

“Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.” (~ Robert Brault)

I can focus on the world and on the news and on the injustice that just seems to keep on keeping on.

Or I can focus on the flower or the seedling or the ocean or the breeze or the perfect loaf of bread come out of the oven this noontime.

I can focus on the helpers and the healers and the ones trying hard to right wrongs.

I can notice grace in the little things.

So can you.
